The Chronicles of Goose

Dog sitting is an interesting and rewarding vocation. Personally, I am attracted to strays, the mixed, the different, the outliers with whom kindred spirits meet. These are the chronicles of one such animal.

I AM . . .

a colorful mix of browns, white and black, in that order, with the head of a small wolf and the body of a large coyote.

I AM . . .

70 pounds of fun! The black circles around my eyes and black snout make me seem meaner than I really am. A perfect set of white teeth are surrounded by healthy black gums. My dorsal side is a chestnut brown with a lighter brownish silver streak along my spine. My proud, barrel chest on my ventral side is white as well as my toes. Gradations from brown to black run from the base to the tip of my tail. My hips sashay when I walk.

I AM . . .

as fast as a greyhound and as nimble as a cat. When my jaws get hold of something, it stays held. Want to play soccer? I can catch the ball with my mouth 6 feet in the air on a bounce.

I AM . . .

smart and, more than just smart, I am clever, resourceful. I think outside of the box.

I am Goose. I have stories to tell!

Tune in next week, same day, same time for another installment of “The Chronicles of Goose.”
